Dark Winter Nights: True Stories from Alaska is a live storytelling event, television program, radio program and podcast in which Alaskans share their amazing stories about living in Alaska.  It is born from my frustration with how Alaska is depicted in most reality TV programming.  I felt if people wanted to know what living in Alaska is like, it should be Alaskans sharing those true stories.

We’re looking for people with great true stories from Alaska for our radio program and live events.  To submit a story for consideration, use our online form, Email Rob Prince at rob.prince@alaska.edu or call (907) 474-6249.

Dark Winter Nights is broadcast the third Saturday of the month at 7:00pm on KUAC-FM.

Miss a Dark Winter Nights radio broadcast?  No problem.  All the episodes are available to listen to online or you can subscribe to the show in iTunes.  Enjoy!

Periodically we will broadcast portions of our live events on television.  To get updated on future broadcasts, sign up below to get on our mailing list or follow us on Facebook.

Meet the people who make Dark Winter Nights happen.
